Plausible Industries LLC provides Chelae users with a clear, accessible way to delete their accounts and associated personal information. Apple requires this for any app that supports account creation, effective since June 30, 2022.
1. How to delete your Chelae account
1.1 In-app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Chelae app.
Chelae (iOS): Settings → Account → Delete Account
The in-app flow:
- Confirms your identity (re-enter password or biometric)
- Displays a confirmation screen describing what will be deleted and when
- Asks you to type "DELETE" or tap an explicit confirmation button
- Initiates deletion and signs you out
1.2 By email
If you cannot access the in-app flow, request deletion by email:

Include:
- Account email address
- A clear statement that you wish to delete your account
- Any additional information to verify your identity
We will verify your identity (typically by sending a confirmation email to your account address) and then proceed with deletion.
2. What gets deleted
When you delete your Chelae account, we delete:
- Your account record and authentication credentials
- Your profile information
- Your settings and preferences
- Device-pairing information (tokens used to pair your iOS app with your home OpenClaw server)
- Session metadata (timestamps, routing data, performance counters)
Chelae does not persistently store the content of your messages on our servers — messages are relayed and then dropped from memory — so there is no message content to delete.
3. What may persist briefly
- Backups: encrypted backup systems may contain residual copies of account information for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations. Backups are not accessed except for disaster recovery
- Anonymized and aggregated data: data that has been irreversibly anonymized, such that it cannot be re-associated with you, is not considered your personal information and may be retained indefinitely
- Legal-hold information: information subject to a litigation hold, regulatory retention requirement, or law enforcement preservation request will be retained until released
- Transaction records: payment, tax, and similar records required by law are retained for the statutory retention period
4. Timing
We complete deletion of your account and active personal information within 30 days of your deletion request.
If technical or operational reasons require additional time, we will notify you and provide a status update.
5. What deletion does not do
Deletion does not:
- Affect data on your home OpenClaw server (your OpenClaw server runs on your own infrastructure; manage it directly)
- Reverse charges already incurred (Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law; see Terms of Service §5)
- Affect data shared with third-party services your OpenClaw assistant calls (manage those services directly)
- Affect your iOS Reminders, HomeKit configuration, or HealthKit data (those remain on your device and in their respective Apple services)
6. Apple App Store deletion link requirement
For Apple compliance, Chelae provides a deletion link visible in the App Store listing's privacy section. The link directs to:

The linked page describes the in-app deletion process and provides the email channel as a fallback.
7. Confirmation
We will send you an email confirmation when account deletion is complete.
